How often does a truck need a DOT inspection?
Every commercial motor vehicle — each tractor and each trailer — must pass a periodic inspection at least once every 12 months. The report or decal needs to be kept for the vehicle, so an expired inspection can mean a violation at a roadside check.
Do you really come to our location?
Yes. We inspect at your yard, shop, terminal or parking lot anywhere within 50 miles. The travel charge is $2 per mile, and it's free when you book 5 or more units.
Can I bring my truck to you instead?
Yes. You can drive in to our location in Streamwood, IL — there's no travel charge. Drive-ins are by appointment only, so call or send a request first and we'll give you a time and the exact address.
What do I get after the inspection?
Each unit that passes gets a completed annual inspection report and a decal. Keep the report in your maintenance file for that vehicle.
Do you offer a fleet discount?
Yes. When you book 5 or more units in one visit, there's no travel charge — we drive to you for free. The inspection itself stays $120 per unit.
What if something fails?
We'll show you exactly which item didn't meet the standard so your mechanic can fix it. Once it's repaired, the unit can be re-inspected.
